My reclining heads are informed by my love of Brancusi's work. I cast them in a variety of materials including plaster and jesmonite and enjoy adding found organic materials such as shingle and tea-leaves.

Using black pigment emphasises the strength and purity of the form as a whole. I enjoy the ambiguity of the dark shape from a distance, detailed features revealing themselves as you move closer.
